The greatest acknowledgement for its 20th anniversary ARTIGIANATO E PALAZZO was received by the public: 11,500 visitors crowded the enchanting Giardino Corsini to admire the skilful hands of 91 representatives of ancient crafts over the four days of the exhibition and to participate in the numerous initiatives organised for the 20th edition of the event dedicated to high quality craftsmanship.
The meetings of “Ricette di Famiglia” (Family Recipes), a project curated by Annamaria Tossani, which involved female writers and gastronomic experts as well as famous chefs, engaged in the preparation of tasty delicacies, were very well attended.
At the end of the event, under the Loggia del Buontalenti, the QN La Nazione Blogs&Crafts Award was presented by journalist Olga Mugnaini to the public’s favourite artisan under 35, Paolo Benvenuti, who creates unique sculptures and works of art entirely by hand, using traditional techniques and typical Tuscan stones.
The Perseo – Banca CR Firenze Prize, for the exhibitor most appreciated and voted by the public, was won by Laboratorio Elementi, founded by ceramic artist Giovanni Maffucci with the intention of creating a creative environment dedicated to experimentation, where lamps, vases, jewellery, paintings and small ceramic sculptures inspired by nature are produced, using ancient but also contemporary processes.
During the inauguration on Thursday 15, the Promoter’s Committee Award for the most beautiful stand was presented to Duccio Mazzanti for his colourful feather accessories.
